15 weeks

Cora has learned a new "word" this week: wahyayayayayayaya. She likes to hold her animals in front of her face and "talk" sternly to them with her eyebrows flat, mouth wide (possibly with a half a hand shoved into it), and all her attention focused on the recipient of her monologue.

We have been interviewing possible nannies to watch her for two days a week. This is stressful and hard, because I still wish we could manage just watching her ourselves... but I am coming around to the idea. Especially since the two women we have met so far seem like great companions. And we are not committing to anything beyond May or June.

So, check out (in the photo above) Cora's new "Rainforest Jumperoo" toy - the first non-gift or non-hand-me-down toy she's had. Of course, we did buy it used from Mama Goose (the best little baby store in Ithaca). At first it was a little overwhelming to her - lots of lights and sound and the need to push with her feet while also holding up her own trunk and head - but now she loves it.

In other news, Gigi continues to try to make Cora look more girly - here's her latest attempt (note the UVM socks):
