We broke out the
Baby Bullet this week to keep up with Cora's growing demand for solid foods. Thanks, Karisa / Dan / Alivia / Punksee for this fun baby gear!

Cora has been plowing through her baby bullet containers. Nanny Rebecca reports that Cora ate an entire rice bullet on Monday in one sitting! From the size of those things, I expected one would last at least two meals and maybe even a couple days.
On Monday night, Cora impressed me with two new tricks. First, she imitated me clapping. So cute. Then later, when she was playing on her belly in the kitchen, she pushed herself up onto her hands and knees and rocked back and forth. It looked like she was about to shoot forward at any moment. So Baby Girl may be crawling quite soon.

Nate was in Washington D.C. on Sunday night and Monday, giving 'em hell at the Congressional Research Service. His Cornell advisor and a team of research pals were arguing the merits of "local and regional procurement" for international food aid (here are links to
Nate's advisor's Working Papers on this subject and others).

I give the "also" section FIVE STARS out of five instead of the two *s listed!
Love when my husband goes into "distinguished" mode. Shiny shoes!
