You guys! It's September and the kids are back in school and we've been home in Nairobi for over a month... there are so many pictures and stories to share. Let's begin!

Part one of our journey was a busy 12 days in Bob's Camp at Everest Beach on Lake Champlain. This is our third year renting a cabin in the place where my grandfather, mother, self and now kids spent our summers. We were lucky to share the fun with some of the usual subjects as well as initiate some newbies to our camp traditions.

One of the reasons we visited Vermont in July was to spend time with cousin Kyra before she shipped off to basic training for the Air Force. She generously shared her last free days in VT with us, and we got to meet her boyfriend, Devon.

When the Hutchins family puts out a call for a VT family gathering, the cousins answer. Over the course of the week before Kyra's departure we saw cousins and aunts and uncles from Nevada, Mexico, NYC, Massachusetts, and -- of course -- Vermont. I love that our family goes to such lengths to see each other.
