For Memorial Weekend, Janet and Peter joined us in Ithaca. The weather was unseasonably warm -- even in the 90s on Saturday -- so we spent the weekend visiting local waterfalls and eating (mostly) cool treats.
On Saturday, we went to the lower falls in Brooktondale, where only Cora, Pete, and I dared to go all the way underwater.

After swimming, we walked over to the Brookton Market for some juice.
On Sunday, Nate and I brought the whole crew over to the Lick Brook Preserve, where we had gone hiking the previous weekend for our anniversary getaway.

The ladies sat in the shade (and occasional sprinkles of cool rain) and chatted while the guys and Cora climbed up the gorge.
Cora and Silas found an Eastern (Red Spotted) newt.
We took a couple family photos before the hike back down the gorge.
Then it was time for a beer at the Ithaca Brewery. We got a covered picnic table just in time for the first downpour of the day.
We wanted to do a "thank you" dinner for the Jensens after all their help for the previous two weeks, so we parboiled and grilled some ribs using my mom's recipe.

For dessert, the kids served us ice cream and fruit out of their "Ice Cream Shop" in the yard.

Thanks for coming, everyone!
