Goodbye moldy flaky paint, hello cheery windows...
We started with the baby's nursery window and soon moved onto our own bedroom window, too. Over Labor Day weekend, Sara (Delaney) and Greg Studer and brother Dave Jensen helped us open up the caulked-shut wooden window in the nursery... and once we started scraping and de-caulking and de-bugging and scrubbing, we soon found ourselves entirely removing the window panes and storm windows. Nate has patched up the holes with caulk, glued the weak spots, and sanded everything down. I have been replacing screens and washing and priming and painting, and the windows are starting to look like new! Hopefully they will also do a better job of keeping the drafts out this winter.
