Roy H. Park Preserve

We explored a new-to-us park on Sunday, and happily found that it borders Six Mile Creek (the one that runs behind our house in Brooktondale). And there are several great swimming spots along the pools and waterfalls. Cora and Nate even found a footlong snapping turtle hanging out next to one of the shelves of shallow waterfalls upstream from where we were wading.

Instagram selfie as we left the swimming hole

Before swimming, we caught butterflies with Cora's net and chewed on grass stems on the walking trails.

Got a tasty grass stem, telling me a story about frogs

This kid kills me with cuteness

Silas may or may not have consumed some creek mud
