Happy Independence Day weekend

We had a motorcycle gang show up at the Farmhouse for the 4th of July. My parents and Janet and Peter came down from Vermont on their Harleys to escape the neverending rain up there. In exchange for four sunny days, we put them to work on our latest Farmhouse project, the chicken coop and run.

Cora "helped" carry the coop into the framed-out run

The gorgeous end product!

Happy chickens after their first overnight in the coop
Of course, we had to take time for an afternoon swim each day. Twice we went down to the Brooktondale waterfall, and once we headed over the Tremain State Park to enjoy the dammed up pool there.

Cora reminded us each day that it was time for "pimmin"

The guys also put together a picnic table for us, which came in handy since we grilled out for almost every meal.

Love it

Thanks to our Harley Davidson work crew for all their construction and cookin' skills!

The chicken coop looks fantastic--what a great use of that corner of your yard!

You two are taking nesting to a whole new level!

(And in the process, making it an even greater HOME!)
