First flights

Cora is currently visiting her 6th state, Missouri. (That's plus NY, PA, MA, RI, and VT for those of you keeping score.)

On our way!
We left for the airport at 4:45am yesterday morning after a night of nearly no sleep. Nate and I got about 3 hours each, and only after we caved and brought Munchkin into bed with us. It was a very unusual night - she seemed to be hurting, but it wasn't like her teething episode a few weeks ago. I wonder if she had a stomach ache, or just growing pains. Whatever the cause, it made for a long day yesterday (for us - she of course recovered just fine).

Our first flight was a short hour-and-fifteen minute jaunt from Ithaca to Newark, and Cora slept the whole way. The second flight - Newark to St. Louis - was longer and she woke up after the beverage service. She was very well behaved, though, just making eyes at her fellow passengers and chomping on the various toys and books we'd brought along. Of course the little plastic water cup provided by United was the most fun of all.

We rented a car in St. Louis for the week, and now we're happily camped out at my boss Brian's house in Columbia. Later in the week we'll move to my former advisor's house (Colleen). And Andy and Maya's wedding festivities commence on Friday.
